Office building with ground source heat pump 

Eurowind Energy A/S is experiencing a significant "tailwind," and as a result, the group's headquarters in Hobro has been expanded. 

DS Flexhal has constructed the corporate office in three stages 

DS Flexhal constructed the headquarters in Hobro – the first and second phases were completed in 2009 and 2016, respectively. In February 2022, the doors opened to yet another successfully completed extension of 1,107 square meters, designed to meet the rapidly expanding company's need for additional space. 

The expansion comprises a two-story administration area and a basement for technical facilities. The new building is constructed using the same DS Gruppen-produced materials as the existing structure – featuring outer walls made of black sandwich panels as the roof.

The building is cooled by a ground source heat pump, which, through a demand-controlled ventilation system, exchanges air in various rooms when the CO2 levels rise. 

The entire ground source heat pump system is powered by energy from wind turbines, making the construction's energy supply and consumption carbon neutral.
