Impressive premium solution 

DSV's headquarters in Hedehusene, Denmark has been constructed with a focus on high functionality, flexibility and sustainability – all within a minimalist design, maximising natural light. 

Upon arrival, DSV's headquarters and terminal exude functionality and precision. The buildings' white, soft arches contrast with the green, sharp edges of the surrounding landscape. Constructed on varying terrain levels, the design separates light traffic to the terminal area.

Strict indoor environment standards 

The headquarters building is designed with strict indoor environment standards, with thermal, optical, and acoustic considerations to provide optimal conditions for efficiency. 

Thermal and acoustic indoor climate is particularly crucial in an atrium-style building where 700 employees share a workspace around a massive atrium with 900 square meters of skylights and 18-meter-tall plant columns. Intelligent control systems for cooling, lighting, facade, atrium roof, and ventilation have been installed. 

Energy-efficient office landscape 

A combination of 3,000 square meters of solar panels with roofing helps reduce the building's heating energy consumption. Additionally, the system supplies power to forklifts, contributing positively to the CO2 footprint. 

The façade is designed as an intelligent, controlled climate and light screen, ensuring high levels of natural daylight deep into the building. Triple-layered glass minimises the need for heating only a few days a year. Natural ventilation occurs through the facade and atrium roof. LED lighting and air conditioning are seamlessly integrated into a single energy-efficient ceiling element within the headquarters.
