Headquarters with ”Gold” and ”Heart”

DS Flexhal is in the process of building DSV’s new headquarters, ”HQ3,” in Hedehusene – a new iconic head office for the international transport and logistics group.

Back in 2014, DS Flexhal also served as the turnkey contractor for the initial headquarters (see the case here) in Hedehusene. The new HQ3 will comprise a 13,170 sqm administrative building with an accompanying padel court and 50,000 sqm of paving and landscaping.

DGNB Certifications

The office building is being constructed with the aim of certification as DGNB Gold and DGNB Heart. To achieve DGNB Gold, the project must attain a minimum of 65% of the total possible points within the three main pillars: social, economic, and environmental sustainability.

DGNB Heart, introduced in 2021, adds an extra dimension to sustainability certification and is awarded to buildings constructed with a focus on a healthy indoor climate and user well-being. ”Heart points” are awarded for efforts in five primary categories: air quality, acoustics, visual comfort, thermal comfort, and architectural value.

The tone and atmosphere of the existing headquarters are carried forward in the architecture, where long lines, organic forms, and large panoramic windows create synergy and space for a work life with high employee well-being. The building is designed with numerous bright office spaces offering views of the surrounding nature in Hedeland, while the spacious courtyard invites to informal meetings and collegial interactions.
